The Samling is renowned for its world class wine collection, and there is nothing we like more than welcoming guests into our state of the art wine cellar for a tasting with our sommeliers. Sadly like so many we are unable to welcome guests to visit at the moment, so until we can open the doors again, we are delighted to introduce “A Taste of The Samling at Home”, with our new wine tasting collection.

Enjoy a private tutored wine tasting with some of the wines from our cellar in the comfort of your own home, under guidance of one of our expert sommeliers. A courier will deliver your outstanding bottles of wine, wine glasses and a corkscrew, delivered with an invitation to a video call with our sommelier to work through the tasting under their expert tutelage.

The Samling’s wine cellar is one of the top 500 in the world (as voted for by The World of Fine Wine) and we have an AA Notable Wine List Award for 2019-2020. We have many delightful wines to taste, and our first selection of wines comes from Hugel & Fils, the family owned vineyards founded in 1639 in beautiful Riquewihr, Alsace, France . Alsace has a unique climate that enables the grapes to ripen slowly, giving dry, aromatic wines with a delightful intensity. Hugel wines, with their distinctive yellow labels, are the ideal wine for most western and Asian cuisines, making them a popular choice.

We are passionate about wine and look forward to sharing this with our guests, past and future, until we can welcome you to The Samling in person, Boxes can be purchased as gifts, and several friends can enjoy the Wine Tasting together, or in private.
