We are delighted to announce that The Samling has been awarded a Michelin Star in the 2014 guide and is the current holder of the “Best Boutique Dining hotel in the world” for 2013.
The kitchen is headed up by the prodigiously talented Ian Swainson. Ian has joined the hotel with a reputation as one of the most exciting young chefs in the industry after Head Chef roles at the Michelin starred L'Ortolan and La Becasse restaurants.
Last year Ian won the regional final of ITV Britain's Best Dish: The Chefs with his dessert of sloe gin crème brulee served with damson ice cream wowing the expert panel of judges.

Our new tasting menu lunch is available daily priced at £45 per person.
Afternoon tea is priced at £25 per person and includes sandwiches, homemade scones served with clotted cream and preserve, a selection of cakes and desserts and shortbread. Why not accompany afternoon tea with a chilled glass of Champagne?
Our mouth-watering 5-course dinner menu is priced at £65 per person and is served each evening. Ian’s superb 7-course Tasting menu is priced at just £80 and is a must when dining at the hotel. We even offer a wine pairing option to ensure that you receive the most incredible gastronomic experience.
Restaurant Opening Times:
Breakfast - between 7.30am and 10.30am
Lunch - every day from 12 noon to 2.00pm
Afternoon Tea - every day between 3.00pm and 4.30pm
Dinner - every day from 7.00pm to 9.30pm
Coffee, tea and home-baked shortbread are available anytime of the day.
