The Samling is a unique wedding venue like no other.
When you decide to get married at The Samling, we arrange your wedding day to suit you, not to suit us. Unlike other wedding venues you won’t see any random faces in your photos as The Samling will be yours in its entirety, all 67 acres.
The Samling is situated in one of the most beautiful places in Britain. Licensed for civil ceremonies The Samling is an exclusive wedding venue that is totally discreet and simply unimpeachable. A small galaxy of stars would privately agree.
As the only guests you decide the order of the day, your wedding breakfast menu and in which one of our 11 fantastic rooms you decide to spend your first married night together. Experienced help is always at hand to guide you through your wedding day. Every detail is meticulously thought of beforehand, so that on your big day, the only thing you have to do is turn up and enjoy yourselves.
Sunday Times has voted the views at The Samling as one of the best ten in the world, you will understand why. Our relaxed and informal atmosphere makes our hotel more of a home. The local registrar, who visits The Samling regularly, will guide you effortlessly through the short ceremony, pronounce you husband and wife and make way for the celebrations to start.
After champagne and canapés, you are invited through for the wedding breakfast for up to 24 guests. You will be delighted to know that our food is prepared by our award winning chef Nigel Mendham. With numerous AA rosettes Nigel uses the best local produce to cater for whatever you decide on, from simple to the adventurous.
In the morning, we won't rush you out of bed. A breakfast followed by hearty brunch at 10.00am is an ideal way to wind down and gives a last chance for everyone to get together before drifting away.
Although we have two exclusive use packages here at The Samling we are totally flexible and can tailor our packages to your needs whatever they may be with prices starting from just £227 per person per night*.
Our Gold Package starts from just £6,000 per night (ex VAT) and includes:

• A glass of Champagne for all guests to toast the bride and groom
• A selection of unlimited wines, beers and soft drinks
• A gourmet dinner, prepared by our award winning chefs

Our Silver Package starts from just £5,000 (ex VAT) per night and includes:
• Exclusive use of The Samling hotel and its 11 bedrooms
• A glass of Champagne for all guests to toast the bride and groom
• A gourmet dinner, prepared by our award winning chefs
• Full Cumbrian Breakfast
The Samling can organise the ultimate way for any bride to arrive in style via one of our luxury helicopters and private jets through our private aviation company, PremiAir.

* Per person rates are based on two people sharing a double room. All other rates are based upon availability and season and only apply to residential guests. For extra non-residential guests a supplement from just £90 will be charged.
