At The Samling, we pride ourselves on providing a completely exclusive and secluded wedding experience. This means that the hotel – which is set within 67 acres of land – is yours in its entirety on your big day.
We work with you to decide the order of the day, your wedding breakfast menu and in which one of our eleven fantastic rooms you decide to spend your first married night together.
Hosting up to 22 guests, we think of every detail imaginable at our Lake District wedding venue before the big day arrives – so all the happy couple has to do is turn up and enjoy their first day of wedded bliss.
Wedding menu created by Michelin star chef
Following the wedding ceremony in The Samling’s main house, which is licensed for civil ceremonies, you and your guests will enjoy Champagne and canapés, before being invited through for a seven-course wedding breakfast.
Our restaurant, which is led by talented Head Chef Ian Swainson, was recently awarded a Michelin star in the 2014 guide and voted ‘Best Dining Hotel in the World’ by the Boutique Hotel Awards.
Chef Swainson can cater the menu to your exact requirements, from simple dishes to those that are a little more adventurous – all of which are prepared using the best local produce.
The following morning, all guests are treated to a full English breakfast, which is served as brunch, before departing from our Lake District wedding venue.
