Christmas at The Samling
24th December
Our Christmas programme commences with suites becoming available from 2.00pm. Why not indulge in a luxurious full afternoon tea in the Drawing Room, in front of a roaring log fire, explore the 67 acres of land that surrounds the property, or simply sit back and gaze out over the scenery.
Enjoy drinks in the Drawing Room from 7.30pm as you get to know your fellow guests and our staff.
Champagne reception in the Drawing Room prior to enjoying our a la carte dinner served in the main dining room and the small dining room.
Guests wishing to attend midnight church services will be met on their return with warm Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.
Remember - early to bed as we may have a special visitor!!!
25th December
The Samling is renowned for its hearty Cumbrian breakfast served in the comfort of your own suite.
Enjoy a glass of bubbly and then relax or take a stroll around the estate prior to lunch.
Traditional Christmas Day Lunch served in the Dining Room at 1.00pm.
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon taking a leisurely pace.
Afternoon Tea served in the Drawing room accompanied with Christmas cake. Queens’s speech will be on in small dining room at 3pm.
In the evening a sumptuous buffet will be served for dinner (for anyone feeling peckish) between 7.30 and 9.00pm.
26th December
Another hearty breakfast served in the comfort of your own suite or together in the Dining Room.
10.00am Guests are invited to join us for our traditional walk up Wansfell before dropping down into Ambleside for drinks in a local pub before returning to The Samling
From 2.00pm enjoy an early sumptuous afternoon tea in the main house or in the comfort of your own suite before enjoying the afternoon at your leisure.
Dinner in the evening will be served in the Dining Room in the form of a Gourmand Menu at 7.00 for 7.30pm
27th December
Another hearty breakfast served in the comfort of your own suite or together in the Dining Room.
Guests depart at leisure.
This special break is available from 24 December 2010 to 27 December 2010. Subject to availability.
Terms and Conditions
Rates start from just £700 per person for three nights and include dinner, bed and breakfast, Christmas Day lunch as well as selected wines and mineral water to compliment the menus.
Bookings are available for a fixed period of three nights, commencing on 24th December and departing on 27th December.
In order to secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £600.00 per room is required at the time of booking.
