A taste of Cumbria with The Samling & Sharrow Bay

Local, fresh produce, innovative recipes and the endless talents of dedicated chefs have secured an accolade of awards for both The Samling and Sharrow Bay. Over the years both hotels’ restaurants have become destination restaurants in their own right. Hotel residents and locals flock to The Samling and Sharrow Bay to enjoy anything from Sharrow Bay’s Cumbrian three course lunch to The Samling’s Gourmand Menu to Sharrow Bay’s world famous sticky toffee pudding.
Wines are also an important part of the experience. Nicolas Chieze the Wine Director at Sharrow Bay has created award winning wine lists which feature fine wines to complement the Cumbrian menus. His selection, wine column and knowledge have lead to Sharrow Bay receiving this year the “Best of Award of Excellence” from The Wine Spectator ...”for having one of the finest Restaurant Wine Lists in the World”.
Fresh vegetables, dairy produce, west-coast landed fish, traditional cured ham and fell-bred meat along with a selection of artisan gourmet products complete with fine wines assure guests at both The Samling and Sharrow Bay that Cumbria, its fine produce and surroundings are at the forefront.
